The Wandering Bard – Wooden Dice Box

The room has gone quiet, and this time everyone is waiting for you to speak. A lyre takes centre stage on the lid, leaving the next verse, improbable tale or very questionable persuasion attempt in your hands.

Dark laser engraving traces the instrument inside an ornamental frame, with the word “Bard” below and a small polyhedral motif above. The honey-toned wood grain runs behind the design rather than disappearing beneath it. Open the hexagonal box and the decoration gives way to seven separate hexagonal compartments. When the song is done and the dice have had their say, each can return to its own space. Whether the party applauds your performance is another matter.

Made from solid wood with veneer and laser engraving, this box is intended to hold a standard-size dice set. Approximate dimensions are 11 cm across and 6 cm high, with a stated dice size of up to 25 mm. As each box is handcrafted, dimensions, wood colour, grain and the appearance of the engraved design may vary from piece to piece and from the photographs.
